In the run-up to the release of the live action Beauty and the Beast, however, that trend seems to be turning on its head.

On Wednesday, Vulturepublished a lengthy think-piece about why the human version of the Beast is always less attractive than the actual Beast version.

It sounds odd -- the Beast is essentially a buffalo-lion hybrid, after all -- but clearly they've tapped into something.

Across Twitter, more and more people have been arguing that the Beast is in fact the more attractive one.

To be fair, you'd definitely feel safer with the Beast.
